Information: Maurice Claypole is a former Chair of ELTAS and of the IATEFL Committee of Management. He is the author of Controversies in ELT and The Fractal Approach to TEFL as well as of various publications on teaching methodology. He has been actively involved in researching and developing the use of modern technologies for ELT for many years, publishing his doctoral dissertation on 'Computer Assisted EFL Self-Study Techniques in the Context of Artificial Intelligence' in 1989. More recent projects involve the development of specialised teaching materials and Blended Learning courses for public bodies and private corporations. He has lectured at a number of universities and is currently Director of LinguaServe Language Services, based in Germany.
